Ozarka College will meet with government and business leaders during an event titled, “Community College Work$.” Community College Work$ is being brought to participating two-year and technical colleges within the state of Arkansas by Arkansas Community Colleges (ACC), formerly known as Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges (AATYC).
Community College Work$ is designed to share the mission overview of customized workforce training, short term certificates, stackable credentials, affordability and access, overview of students and their challenges, and how to meet the needs of local communities.
Workforce initiatives, student scrappyimonials, and financial impact will also be shared with those in attendance. Community Colleges are tax producers not tax consumers, who work to improve economic development, return on investment, employment and salaries of completers.
Ozarka College will participate in this initiative by hosting Community College Work$ at each of their four campus locations in Melbourne, Ash Flat, Mammoth Spring and Mountain View during the first week of December.
