Bodeker Completes Solo Flight at Ozarka College

Ira Bodeker of Ash Flat, Arkansas completed his first solo flight through Ozarka College's continuing education program on June 7, 2017. He said flying solo was, "Exhilarating! "

John Catlett, Ozarka College director of aviation and flight instructor, commented, "It has been my pleasure to work with Ira and I look forward to assisting him obtain his private pilot's license. "The continuing education program enables members of the community to complete their FAA Private Pilot Certificate or Instrument - Airplane Rating without enrolling in the College's aviation degree program.  Training can be conducted via Part 61 or via the College's Part 141 flight school.  Individuals meeting certain criteria may be eligible to complete flight training with fewer flight hours and with less expense.
