Ozarka College's culinary arts students will host a student showcase dinner on October 19, 2016 in the Student Services Center, located in Melbourne, Arkansas. Dinner seating will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and reservations are required for this event. The menu will feature a three-course meal, allowing guests to select from a limited menu. The meal also includes a beverage and is just $15 per guest.
The first course will offer a choice of salad or appetizer, the second a choice of three entrees, and the third a choice of two desserts. All menu items will be designed to reflect the trends of the area, as well as the current food industry. Entrees will include choice of one beef, one chicken, or one duck. A vegetarian option will also be available when requested in advance, during meal reservation. Desserts will feature one chocolate-centric offering and one fruit-centric offering.
Chef Alden Griffus, Ozarka College culinary arts instructor said, "The Student Showcase Dinner provides the culinary arts students an opportunity to further develop the skills they are learning in the classroom by interacting with the public, giving them the experience they need to be successful in the culinary world. "
When making reservations, guests are asked to please specify any dietary needs or allergies, and the students will gladly accommodate.
