Paul Miller Fitness Center getting in shape for spring semester

Published on January 21, 2014

The Paul Miller Fitness Center, located in the John E. Miller Education Complex on the Ozarka College - Melbourne campus, is gearing up for a busy spring semester when it will see an influx of both students and community members getting back to the gym for the new year.

The facility features top-notch equipment such as treadmills, stationary bikes and elliptical machines. There is also a free-weight room available. The staff will work with anyone one-on-one to discuss safety and proper machine usage, as well as provide tips to maximize your workout.

Memberships are offered on a semester basis for $134 and discounted to $64 for anyone 60 and older.

The Fitness Center is open Monday through Friday of each week from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 6 a.m. - noon.

The spring semester began on Jan. 13 and will run until May 10.

Students registered for fitness center I, fitness center II or lifetime fitness, at the Mammoth Spring campus also have a fitness center option at the Thayer Fitness Center, located on Front Street.

You do not have to be a full-time student to participate in these programs. They are open to the public as one-hour credit courses. The cost is $148.50 per semester. Participants over 60 are given a discounted rate of $64.

For more information about registering and the fitness center, contact Stacy Gore, Fitness Center coordinator, at 870-368-2090.
