To Apply for a Federal Stafford Loan:
- Must have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Must be making satisfactory progress according to Ozarka College's policy.
- Complete a Student Loan Request Form. This will be sent electronically to the financial aid office and MUST be completed in order for a loan to be certified for you. Choose your lender here and submit to bring up the loan request form. (This is Ozarka's preferred lender list. However, a student may choose any lender participating through SLGFA-list available in Financial Aid Office).
- Complete a Stafford Loan Entrance Exam (must be completed BEFORE the loan will be processed) and before graduating, transferring to another college or withdrawing from all classes students MUST complete an Exit Exam. Federal student loan regulations require students to complete these exams to qualify for student loans.
- Complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN). Lender will send you an e-mail with this document or if no e-mail address, a paper copy MPN will be mailed by your lender to be completed and returned to them. If you do not complete the MPN, your loan funds cannot be electronically transmitted to the college and you will receive no loan funds.
