Practical Nursing Instructor

Ozarka College in Melbourne, Arkansas, seeks a dynamic, innovative, and creative educator for the position of Practical Nursing Instructor for the Mountain View site beginning August 1, 2014.  The position reports to the Director of Nursing located on the Melbourne campus.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
• Registered Nurse in the State of Arkansas
• Three years experience providing comprehensive nursing care
• Current knowledge of practice
• Must have an unencumbered nursing license 
• Must submit to background checks

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous teaching experience in a formal nursing program  
• BSN preferred

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Full-time, eleven-month position with a minimum of 15-hours teaching load per semester.  Normal weekly schedule is Monday through Friday during the daytime with clinical supervision of students expected in the clinical setting as well as lecture.  Responsibilities include instruction, course development, clinicals, participation in campus committees and activities, developing student internships, and other duties as assigned.
