Career Support Services Facilitator

Ozarka College in Melbourne is seeking qualified applicants for a Career Support Services Facilitator (CSSF). The CSSF is a full time, 12-month, grant-funded position.  The CSSF, acting under the supervision of the Director of Career Pathways, will provide support to all areas in regard to Career Pathways. The Career Support Services Facilitator is responsible for communicating with students and supporting student success and program completion.


The successful candidate should be focused on student success, able to develop trust with students, understand barriers which affect college student success, able to work with others in a team setting as well as independently, and have a strong work ethic.


POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES


  • Represent Career Pathways at each campus offering information regarding eligibility and services.
  • Interview and complete Career Pathways application packet with students, collect program paperwork required for financial services and maintain confidentiality of student files.
  • Assist students with tasks such as filling our financial aid packets, applying for scholarships and assisting with class registration.
  • Be familiar with programs on campus and requirements.
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude and a good relationship with students.
  • Record student contact.
  • Track students who have completed certificates and degrees and reports on their movement in the workforce.
  • Maintain accurate records of all graduates and their follow-up information.
  • Provide resume writing, interviewing, and job search services to all students.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff and student services organizations to provide student opportunities.
  • Work with ADHE to submit monthly, quarterly and yearly employment reports.
  • Work with local services agencies.
  • Manage Career Pathways database and information.
  • Import and/or input data from campuses to the ADHE data systems.

COLLEGE WIDE


  • Assist in promoting systems whereby all learners are given the opportunity to accept the challenges and responsibilities for learning and growing as students and citizens.
  • Promote and help develop a College environment of respect, dignity, and cooperation where ideas, inquiry, and the continued pursuit of self-development are valued as a means toward learning and growing.
  • Serve on college committees as appointed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a college environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the community college philosophy and assisting students and faculty.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, leadership and team building skills, and be well organized and committed to professional development.
