Published on July 12, 2018

Ozarka College in Melbourne, Arkansas will host an eight-week series of Yoga Fundamentals through the continuing education program. The classes will meet for one hour on Tuesdays from August 7 through September 25 in room 106 of the John E. Miller Education Complex.

There will be two sessions available. Session A will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will focus on beginning and basic posture. Session B will begin at 5:45 p.m. and will be great for continuing students to advance their yoga practice. However, prior yoga experience is not necessary for either session.

The classes will be led by Dr. Deltha Sharp, who has been practicing yoga for over five years and is a certified yoga instructor. Yoga Fundamentals will provide an opportunity for people of all ages and capabilities to improve their range of motion by focusing on movement, breath, and flexibility. This practice is perfect for students who are new to yoga or those who want to improve their yoga practice.

The cost is $60.00 for the eight-week series ($48 for students ages 60 and up) and pre-registration is required. Participants will need to bring their own yoga mat for this course.
