Ozarka College's Aviation Program Receives Renewed Certification from FAA

Published on July 30, 2019

The  FAA Part 141 Flight School Renewal Certification was presented to Ozarka's Flight Director John Catlett on Monday 15, July 2019.   In order to renew the certification a series of extensive inspections had to be completed.   These included student records, personnel records, aviation facilities, and aviation equipment. The Ozarka Aviation program also had to prove and demonstrate proficient instruction given over the past two years with an overall student completion rate of at least 80% for Ozarka's end of course exams, FAA written exams, and FAA practical exams.  FAA Principal Operations Inspectors Nathan Bradshaw and Josh Hudgens conducted the inspection.   The renewal is good for two years.

"Ozarka's successful renewal certification is the result of two years of hard work and dedication from the administration, faculty, and staff of Ozarka College. I am very excited about the future of the aviation department and the successful growth that we are experiencing.   I appreciate the continued support! " said John Catlett, Director of Aviation at Ozarka College.
