Ozarka College is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Amy Queret-Mitchell as the new program director and lead faculty member for culinary arts. Chef Amy has a doctorate in Human Resource Education and Workforce Development from Louisiana State University.  She also has a Master's Degree in Human Resource Education and Workforce Development and a Bachelor's Degree with a minor in Nutrition.

Chef Amy was the program director/lead instructor at Lincoln Trail College in Illinois and chef and hospitality management instructor at the Louisiana Culinary Institute.  In addition to this, she has taught culinary dual credit in the East Baton Rouge Parrish School System.  She has ten years management experience in industry and three years dietary management experience in assisted living facilities. She is a Certified Culinary Educator through the American Culinary Federation, a Certified ServSafe Instructor and Proctor through the National Restaurant Associate Education Foundation, a Certified ProStart Instructor and a Certified Dietary Manager.

"Chef Amy brings many skills and experiences along with much enthusiasm for culinary that will help our culinary program grow, " said Dr. Keith McClanahan, Provost and Executive Vice President of Learning at Ozarka College. "She is excited to be part of the Ozarka family and is already working to improve the Culinary Program.  She is a great asset and addition to Ozarka College and to the culinary program. "
