Ozarka College Board of Trustees Updates

On August 27, 2015, the Ozarka College Board of Trustees met and appointed new officers; Board of Trustee officers are appointed every two years. Trustee Jack Yancey was appointed Chair, Trustee Ben Cooper, Vice-Chair, and Trustee Dennis Wiles, Secretary.

The Appointment of Board of Trustees to serve on the Academic Affairs and Finance committees, and the designation of committee chairs, was also made. The appointed Trustees each serve a two-year term on the committee. The Academic Affairs Committee considers matters concerning academic personnel, programs, faculty and student appeals. Any proposal considered by the Academic Affairs Committee with respect to the College academic program shall have first been reviewed by the Faculty Council and/or Curriculum Committee and the Administrative Council.

Appointments for the Academic Affairs Committee included Trustees Jack Yancey, Darla York, and Tim Gammill. Trustee Yancey will serve as Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee.

The Finance Committee considers matters concerning the budget, audit report, construction, bond issues, non-academic personnel and staff appeals, contracts, and real and personal property. Trustees Ben Cooper, Dennis Wiles and Ryan Howard were appointed to serve on the Finance Committee. Trustee Cooper will serve as Chair.
