On August 26, 2016, members of the community hosted a tribute to E.F. Son Lamb titled, "A Sonny Night in August." Son is a man who has supported, promoted and encouraged not only businesses in North Arkansas, but individuals as well. With his development of Channel 5, viewers in the local cable TV service area have been entertained while keeping up with local news and events for many years.

The event was free to the public; however, donations were accepted to go towards the establishment of a scholarship in Son's name. That scholarship is now fully funded and will be awarded to an area student attending Ozarka College.
