Student Journal to be offered at Ozarka College

Published on October 3, 2017

Students at Ozarka College will once again have the opportunity to publish meaningful art and research, as the College prepares to reinstate  In-Flight, Ozarka's student-led Journal.

"At present, too few opportunities exist for students at two-year colleges to have their creative and/or scholarly work published and distributed," said Maegon Mayes, English Faculty at Ozarka College. "As vast repositories of information come online and more and more people participate in the digital revolution, schools face an important set of decisions about the nature of scholarship and its forms of publication. For these reasons, the Department of English at Ozarka College decided to re-instate  In-Flight  in 2017-2018 as a digitally archived publication, and we are honored to help students build a rich digital archive of their work."

Megan Moxley, Ozarka College Academic All-Star, will serve as the lead student editor. Submissions of short stories, academic papers, poetry, ethnography, photography, and line drawing are currently being accepted from current Ozarka College students. For more information about  In-Flight, please contact Maegon Mayes at 870.269.5600 or email:  mlmayes@ozarka.edu.
