Ash Flat Campus Director

Ozarka College is seeking qualified applicants for the Ash Flat Campus Director position.  The Ash Flat Campus Director, acting under the direction of the Vice President of Administration, is responsible for providing current and prospective students with quality support services to help them achieve their education goals. Working collaboratively with the registrar, public affairs, advancement, Division Chairs and faculty, and the other student support staff, the Ash Flat Campus Director provides administrative coordination and student guidance to enhance the quality of Ozarka College experience in the Ash Flat and Sharp County service area.  The Ash Flat Campus Director is a twelve-month position.


Position Specific:


The Ash Flat Campus Director is accountable for providing management and administrative support for operations of the Ozarka College Ash Flat campus.  This position assists with student processing, recruitment assistance, data compilation, records control, and physical condition and security of the Ash Flat campus. 


Specific responsibilities include:


Application Processing: 


  • Enter application data into student electronic accounts (SONISWEB).
  • Enter admissions supporting documentation into student accounts such as health records, transcripts, and placement tests.
  • Create a copy of student permanent education records for the Registrar’s office.
  • Provide appropriate communication to applicants concerning acceptance status and fulfillment of admissions criteria.


Recruitment Assistance:  


  • Counsel and advise prospective students in the absence of the Director of Admissions. 
  • Respond to telephone, internet, and college fair inquiries. 
  • Assist with tours.
  • Data entry of prospective student information into database.
  • Assist with prospect correspondence.


Providing administrative support: 


  • Supervise the campus Administrative Assistant.
  • Supply quality control for daily operations.
  • Seek efficiency in operations.
  • Maintain professional etiquette, attitude, conduct, and appearance. 
  • Provide friendly and helpful student service.
  • Represent Ozarka College in an active and positive manner.


College Wide: 


  • Seek and implement activities, services and programs which assure that Ozarka College is a vibrant contributor to the quality of life of the North Central Arkansas, and Sharp County regions.
  • Treat all who choose to use College resources with dignity.
  • Challenge all learners to maximize their potential.
  • Implement systems whereby all learners are given the opportunity to accept the challenges and responsibilities for learning and growing as students and citizens.
  • Promote and help develop a College environment of respect, dignity and cooperation where ideas, questioning and the continued pursuit of self-development are valued as a means toward learning and growth.

Other:


  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Administration.


Qualifications:


  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.  
  • At least two years’ work experience in an educational setting.       
  • At least two years of supervisory or management experience preferred.   
  • Computer skills in basic office software such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, and student data systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and use good organizational skills to take initiative and coordinate daily workload. 
  • Proven interpersonal skills both written and verbal to promote understanding, respect for others, and clear articulation of the College mission.
  • Commitment to personal integrity in all working relationships with others.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the responsibilities and skill required to fulfill the position responsibilities. 
  • Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.
