Adult Education Part-Time Instructor—Fulton County


Ozarka College is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Adult Education instructor to teach classes in Fulton County. The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction in the four subject areas (Reasoning Through Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics) required for passage of the Official GED Test.  The applicant will teach evening classes and provide other duties related to student data entry.


Basic Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor's Degree with a valid Arkansas Teacher’s Certificate
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skill
  • Strong computer background is essential for communication as well as instructional enhancement and testing
  • Effective organization skills

Desirable/Preferred Qualifications: 


  • Proven experience serving a diverse working, commuting and other nontraditional student populations

Position Description:


  • Enroll and advise Adult Education students
  • Provide instruction in Adult Basic Education and General Education Development
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of an Ozarka College Adult Education instructor, as outlined, in a timely and effective manner

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.  Deadline for submitting applications will be Friday, August 25, 2017.
