Ozarka College Hosts Successful Spring Nursing Job Fair

Published on March 24, 2026

Ozarka College proudly hosted its annual Spring Nursing Job Fair on Thursday, March 19, 2026, bringing together approximately twenty-four regional and statewide healthcare organizations and one hundred aspiring nursing professionals.

The event provided students and community members with valuable opportunities to connect directly with healthcare employers, explore current job openings, and learn more about career pathways in the healthcare industry. Participating organizations represented a diverse cross-section of the field, highlighting the strong demand for skilled nursing and healthcare professionals across Arkansas and beyond.

In conjunction with the event, nursing students and faculty organized a collection drive to gather toys, stuffed animals, and coloring books for donation to facilities across Ozarka's service areas, including sheriff's departments and hospitals. These items will be distributed to children served by these agencies, helping provide comfort and support during challenging situations.

"I am incredibly proud of the impact this event has on both our students and our healthcare partners," said Katie Wilson, Allied Health Division Chair. "The Spring Nursing Job Fair exemplifies Ozarka College's commitment to bridging education and workforce needs by creating meaningful connections that support career readiness, strengthen our regional healthcare system, and ultimately improve patient care across the communities we serve."

Ozarka College extends its sincere appreciation to the Nursing Department for their continued dedication to student success and workforce readiness. Special thanks are also extended to the Perkins staff for their efforts in coordinating and organizing this impactful event.

The Spring Nursing Job Fair reflects Ozarka College's ongoing commitment to supporting student achievement and strengthening partnerships with healthcare providers to meet workforce needs in the region.
