Ozarka College Named Military Friendly School for 2021-2022

Published on May 3, 2021

Ozarka College recently was named to the 2021-2022 Military Spouse Friendly Schools list by VIQTORY media. The list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America's military service members and veteran's spouses as students.

"We are privileged at Ozarka to be able to serve so many of our veterans and their families," said Ozarka College President Dr. Richard Dawe. "Providing quality service to veterans, their families and all students is something we take very seriously. Being identified as a military spouse friendly college is gratifying; it confirms to us that we are honoring their commitment and sacrifice in an appropriate and effective way."

The Military Friendly Schools website, found at, features the list, interactive tools and search functionality to help military spouses find the best school to suit their unique needs and preferences. The 194 colleges, universities and trade schools on this year's list exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience.

The 2021-2022 list of Military Spouse Friendly Schools ® was compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey of more than 1,200 VA-approved schools nationwide. Ernst and Young LLP independently verified the survey tabulation process, methodology and weightings that comprise the 2021-2022 list by using the criteria set forth by VIQTORY.
