Ozarka College held a farewell cookout at the Melbourne Student Services Center Thursday, June 24. College staff and administration gathered to enjoy fellowship and to say farewell to Mr. Jason Lawrence as he prepares to move with his family to the Fayetteville area.

Jason has had a long history with Ozarka College. Most recently, Jason served as the Vice President of Student Services in which he played an important role in monitoring Ozarka safety through the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to this role, Lawrence served as the Vice President of Administration at Ozarka in which he led many building and renovation projects for the College. Early in his career, Lawrence worked with the College information systems team, leading advances in distance education and served as Business/Information Technology faculty.

"Jason is an outstanding community college leader. We have been most fortunate to have him in very important administration roles," said Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka College president. "Ozarka will miss Jason, but we congratulate him as he takes this important move with his family. "

Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Arkansas State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

"Ozarka has been instrumental in providing life-changing experiences for so many students in our area." said Jason Lawrence. "It has been my privilege to serve this fine institution. "

From all of your Ozarka Family, we wish you well, Mr. Lawrence!
