The Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board (AHECB) held its quarterly meeting on Friday, April 24, at the Student Services Center in the Centennial and Dawe Community Rooms. Ozarka Culinary provided a continental breakfast for all attendees, before the meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.

The meeting brought together presidents and chancellors, chief academic and administrative officers, and staff from Arkansas institutions of higher education around the state, along with representatives from the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), the Arkansas Division of Higher Education (ADHE), and members of the AHECB.

Dr. Josh Wilson, Ozarka College president, delivered the welcome address, highlighting Ozarka signature programs, advancements, and importantly, the $1.6M HIRED grant awarded by ADHE and its role in standing up the Melbourne Skilled Trades Center, advancing workforce and educational initiatives for the region.

As part of its regular quarterly agenda, the Board reviewed and approved academic programs and policies that impact higher education across the state.

Members of Ozarka College's Administrative Council and additional staff were present to attend the meeting and represent the College.
