Ozarka College is proud to announce the success of its 2026 Tour D' Art event, themed "Destination Art," which brought together artists, students, and community members for a vibrant celebration of creativity and culture.
Originally launched in 2012 by the Friends of the Paul Weaver Library, Tour D' Art continues to serve as a cornerstone event promoting the arts throughout the region. This year's event welcomed a diverse collection of artists from the Ozarka College family, area schools, and surrounding communities, highlighting the depth of artistic talent across North Central Arkansas.
Attendees experienced a wide variety of artistic styles and mediums, reflecting the event's theme of "Destination Art" by showcasing how creativity can transport, connect, and inspire. The strong turnout and enthusiastic participation underscored the community's continued support for the arts and its vital role in education and cultural enrichment.
The Friends of the Paul Weaver Library remain committed to advancing art appreciation and supporting opportunities like Tour D' Art. Their efforts help reinforce the many benefits of arts involvement, including improvements in academic performance, cognitive development, concentration, confidence, and cultural awareness.
"Tour D' Art continues to grow each year, and we are thrilled with the response from both artists and attendees," said Dan Lindsey, Librarian. "This event reflects the importance of the arts in bringing our community together and inspiring lifelong learning."
Ozarka College extends its appreciation to all participating artists, volunteers, and guests who contributed to making this year's event a success. The college looks forward to continuing this tradition and expanding opportunities to celebrate the arts in the years to come.
