Kenneth and Janice Sutton Nursing Scholarships to be Awarded
Published on January 4, 2019
Kenneth and Janice Sutton have committed to awarding scholarships to Ozarka College nursing students again this year. Mr. and Mrs. Sutton began offering scholarships to students enrolled in the nursing program at Ozarka College - Mountain View in 2011. This year, they will be awarding three scholarships, $3,000 each, to selected nursing students.
This year's scholarship recipients are Tiffany Jaime, Trenton Crymes, and Lauren Smith.
- Tiffany Jaime is married with a 19-month baby girl. Tiffany has had the opportunity to travel outside of Arkansas, and throughout her travels has decided that nursing is her true path in life. Receiving the Sutton Nursing Scholarship will help Tiffany to relieve some of the financial burden involved with going back to school.
- Trenton Crymes, from Mountain View, grew up in a large family. Trenton knew that a scholarship would be his best opportunity to receive an education. He knew that he always wanted to go into the medical field, and after watching his grandmother care for his grandfather he chose nursing. The Sutton Nursing Scholarship will help Trenton receive the education he needs to meet his calling.
- Lauren Smith knew she wanted to be a nurse when she watched nurses take care of her mother and husband during their health conditions. Lauren wants to be that caring person for her family. As a working mom, the Sutton Nursing Scholarship will be a huge financial help.
We are grateful for the Sutton's strong commitment to our nursing students, the Mountain View campus, and higher education. They clearly value the powerful impact that education provides for our students and for the community.
