Published on December 6, 2019

The nursing students at the Ozarka College Ash Flat campus supported the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry event by filling 34 shoeboxes with gifts to be sent to children all over the world. Part of nursing is providing for those in need. This project enabled nursing student to give to those less fortunate; children who may not otherwise receive anything for Christmas. Receiving the boxes is Marge Burge from Faith Presbyterian Church in Horseshoe Bend, AR who is an organizer for the project. These boxes will be added to others from all over the United States.

"Ozarka College and its student are committed to supporting local service projects, " said Cheryl Ekenes, Ash Flat nursing instructor. "We are proud to play are part of this project for children and families. "
