Ozarka College is very pleased to announce the naming of their new student housing on the Melbourne campus in honor of Trustee Dennis R. Wiles. Trustee Wiles played a pivotal role in coordinating the transfer of the facility that was previously recognized as the Delta Hills Apartments. The present configuration of the facility consists of one- and two-bedroom units with a shared living space and kitchen. This provides an opportunity for students in need of housing from within our service area and beyond. The Ozarka maintenance and information systems teams did a fantastic job on short-notice last summer preparing the facility to welcome students in the 2018 fall semester.

Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka's president, commented: "This acquisition is something we had hoped might happen for some time. Trustee Wiles' efforts in accomplishing this for Ozarka and our students is deeply appreciated, and this official naming hopefully will play a small part in acknowledging his leadership role. After we have a couple years at full occupancy it will help us determine if there is a need for additional student housing. "

In a statement to the Board, Wiles stated, "I am honored by this announcement and I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve Ozarka College and the entire Ozarka community. "
