Ozarka College and Harding University Sign Articulation Agreement to Streamline Pathway to Education Degree

Published on May 29, 2025

Ozarka College and Harding University have announced a new articulation agreement designed to create a seamless pathway for students pursuing a career in education. The formal signing took place on Tuesday, May 20, at the Ozarka College campus.

Beginning in spring 2025, students enrolled in Ozarka's Associate of Science in Education program will be able to transfer their coursework directly to Harding University to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Education. This collaboration, known as a 2+2 agreement, ensures students can complete their associate and bachelor's degrees in a streamlined and affordable manner.

"This partnership between Ozarka College and Harding University is truly significant," said Jill Sandlin, Director of Education at Ozarka College. "It allows our students--who are already receiving a strong educational foundation at Ozarka--to seamlessly continue their journey toward a bachelor's degree at Harding, opening doors to even greater opportunities in the field of education."

The agreement guarantees that specific credits earned at Ozarka will be accepted by Harding, allowing students to continue their education without losing time or credits, and ultimately graduate on schedule.

Representing Harding University at the announcement were Dr. Marty Spears, Provost, and Dr. Pamela Voss, Director of the Northwest Arkansas Professional Center. Both expressed enthusiasm for the partnership and its potential to positively impact the educational landscape in north central Arkansas.

This initiative reflects the commitment of both institutions to expanding access to higher education and supporting students in achieving their academic and career goals.
