Ozarka College is pleased to announce Hannah Meurer as the College's new Associate Director of Financial Aid. A Lyon College graduate, published author, entrepreneur, and returning member of the Melbourne community, Meurer brings a strong commitment to education, student success, and service to her new role.

Meurer graduated from Lyon College in 2019 with bachelor's degrees in Art and English. During her time at Lyon, she was involved in several honor societies, including Kappa Pi, Sigma Tau Delta, and Mortar Board. Her college experience helped shape her appreciation for higher education and its ability to influence students' goals and ambitions.

"My years spent in college were some of the best," said Meurer. "I gained a newfound appreciation for education and realized the potential each institution has for inspiring change in a student's personal goals and ambitions."

Meurer brings a diverse professional background to Ozarka. She is a published author who released her first two novels at age 13 and is currently working on her third. Over the past six years, she has also owned and operated two small businesses, including a children's entertainment company and an online store featuring handmade goods and art.

Her previous higher education experience includes working at her alma mater, Lyon College, where she served as a resident assistant, working closely with fellow students. In that role, Meurer emphasized academic success and student well-being while helping maintain campus policies and foster a supportive residential environment.

After spending the past six years in California while her husband served in the military, Meurer and her family have returned home and are excited to put down roots in the Melbourne community. Her husband plans to enroll at Ozarka next spring, while their two-and-a-half-year-old son, Henry, recently joined Bearkatz Academy.

In her role as Associate Director of Financial Aid, Meurer will help Ozarka students navigate the financial aid process and connect with resources that can make their educational goals more attainable.

"We are excited to welcome Hannah to the Ozarka College team," said Laura Lawrence, Dean of Enrollment Services. "Her passion for helping students, along with her diverse experiences and strong appreciation for higher education, will be a great asset to our Financial Aid team. I look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have as she helps students understand their financial aid options and supports them throughout their educational journey."

Meurer's student-centered philosophy and belief in the transformative power of education align closely with Ozarka College's commitment to providing students with the guidance, resources, and support they need to achieve their educational goals.
