Ozarka College is proud to announce the 2023 class of practical nursing students achieved an overall first-time pass rate of 96.1 percent on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) as required by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in the State of Arkansas.

"This is another great example highlighting the quality of the Ozarka nursing program education, " said Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka College president. "Since its founding, Ozarka College has been a leader in providing nursing education in Arkansas and it remains a signature program offering for our communities. "  

Ozarka's 2023 pass rate significantly outpaces 2023 state and national averages of 86.0 and 81.4 percent, respectively, for practical nursing first-time candidates. The 2023 LPN class represents nursing cohorts from the Ash Flat, Melbourne, and Mountain View. Congratulations to these graduates and our dedicated nursing faculty!
