Thomas Hired as Welding Instructor

Published on July 30, 2025

Ozarka College is proud to welcome Wyatt Thomas as the new Welding Instructor at our Melbourne campus. In this role, Thomas will play a vital part in preparing students with hands-on training and industry-relevant skills to meet the growing demand for qualified welders in the region.

"Wyatt brings real-world experience and a passion for welding education that will strengthen our technical programs and benefit our students greatly," said Dr. Chris Lorch, Ozarka College provost. "We are excited to have him on board as we continue to invest in workforce readiness and skilled trades."

"I'm thrilled to step into this role and help students build both skill and pride in their work," said Wyatt Thomas, Ozarka College welding instructor. "Welding is a trade that opens doors, and I want to make sure every student leaves this program ready to walk through them."

A Mountain View, Arkansas native, Thomas is an Ozarka College alumnus, having earned his Associate of Applied Science in Welding. His connection to the college and firsthand understanding of the program gives him a unique perspective as he leads and inspires the next generation of welders.
