The Ozarka College Foundation is pleased to announce the completion of the Nancy Orr Memorial Courtyard at the Ash Flat campus. A member of the Foundation Board of Directors for 12 years, the Foundation Board and College leadership chose to honor Nancy with a dedicated outdoor courtyard on the Ash Flat campus of Ozarka College.
"Nancy was a model community member who selflessly supported the people of Sharp County, " said Suellen Davidson, Ozarka College Director of Advancement. "Nancy will forever be remembered for her compassion and service to her community, her friends, and Ozarka College. "
According to Matt Rush, Ozarka College Foundation Board Chair, "Nancy loved her community and would be honored for students and community members to remember her in this way. She was especially passionate about helping students and encouraging them to attend Ozarka College."
The Sharp County Extension Service - Master Gardeners also offered their expertise, providing suggestions for plants and aesthetics and even developed landscaping drawings to guide Ozarka's Grounds team.
The Foundation will announce a date for dedicating the Orr Courtyard as soon as possible. Unfortunately, in accordance with health guidance from state officials, the Foundation Board must postpone the dedication until it is appropriate for members of the Foundation board, College, and community to gather together to properly honor Nancy.
