Ozarka College Welcomes Laura Lawrence as Dean of Enrollment

Ozarka College is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Lawrence as the College's new Dean of Student Enrollment.

Lawrence returns to Ozarka College after seven years, bringing with her a wealth of experience in both higher education and secondary education. Prior to her time away, she dedicated 14 years to Ozarka College in enrollment services, where she played an integral role in supporting students throughout their educational journeys. During the past seven years, Lawrence taught at two local high schools, gaining valuable insight into the unique challenges and opportunities students face before entering college.

"We are excited to welcome Laura home to Ozarka," said Dr. Josh Wilson, President of Ozarka College. "She brings years of experience in enrollment services and a deep commitment to student success. I am confident her leadership, expertise, and passion will strengthen our efforts to serve students and communities across our region."

As Dean of Student Enrollment, Lawrence will oversee enrollment services while working to enhance the student experience from initial inquiry through graduation. Her extensive knowledge of both secondary and higher education positions her to strengthen partnerships with area schools and help students successfully transition into college.

"I am excited to return to Ozarka College after seven years away," Lawrence said. "During that time, I had the opportunity to teach at two local high schools and serve our community in a different capacity, gaining valuable experience and a deeper understanding of the needs of our students.

"I look forward to bringing together my previous 14 years of experience at Ozarka College with what I have learned in secondary education to better serve our students. Student success has always been my passion, and I am honored to serve as the Dean of Student Enrollment. I am excited to help students achieve their educational goals and support Ozarka College's mission of providing life-changing experiences through education."

Outside of her professional role, Lawrence enjoys spending time with her husband, Travis, their children, Callie, Ty, and Abbie, and her son-in-law, Nathan, on their family farm in Sage. She is an avid sports fan who enjoys cheering on local teams and is passionate about giving back to her community.

Ozarka College welcomes Lawrence back to campus and looks forward to the leadership, experience, and dedication she brings to serving students and advancing the College's mission.
