Ozarka College Celebrates National Workforce Development Month

Published on September 12, 2026

Ozarka College is proud to recognize National Workforce Development Month this September, celebrating the programs, partnerships, students, and community supporters who help strengthen the workforce throughout North Central Arkansas.

At Ozarka College, workforce development goes beyond classroom instruction. Through hands-on training, industry partnerships, and real-world learning experiences, the College prepares students with practical skills for high-demand careers while helping meet the workforce needs of local employers.

"Strong Workforce. Stronger Community." reflects Ozarka College's commitment to providing accessible education and career training that creates opportunities for students and supports the communities the College serves.

Ozarka offers workforce-focused education across a variety of fields, including welding, precision machining, skilled trades, nursing and healthcare, and other career and technical programs. These programs provide students with opportunities to gain valuable experience while preparing for careers close to home.

A key part of Ozarka's workforce development efforts is collaboration with area businesses and industry partners. These relationships help connect education with the needs of today's workforce, creating opportunities for students while providing employers with access to skilled and prepared graduates.

Ozarka College also remains focused on supporting students throughout their educational journey. From hands-on instruction to career preparation, faculty and staff work to equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to succeed in the workplace and make a positive impact in their communities.

As National Workforce Development Month is recognized across the country, Ozarka College extends its appreciation to the businesses, industry partners, employers, community organizations, faculty, staff, and supporters who contribute to workforce education and help create opportunities for students throughout the region.
