U.S. House of Representative for Arkansas' 1^st congressional district, Rick Crawford, and his staff visited Ozarka College on Wednesday. One of many meetings in the region, the Congressman's scheduled stop at Ozarka marked a routine engagement with Ozarka administration to stay abreast of current and upcoming initiatives of the College.   Additionally, Rep. Crawford discussed his related policy and legislation agenda in support of education and workforce training and extended an offer of additional support for Ozarka's promising initiatives.

"We were pleased to have Congressman Crawford and his staff today at Ozarka, " said Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka College president. "We always appreciate the opportunity to showcase the exciting and innovative work being done here at the College and show our gratitude for the Congressman's continued support for Ozarka. "

Ozarka presented Rep. Crawford with information of ongoing projects and extended sincere appreciation for his meaningful support for multiple successful initiatives, including significant recent grant investments in Ozarka's workforce training programs.  

Also, on topic for the Congressman's visit included discussion of Ozarka's new technical center in Mountain View and advancing training offerings for technical trades in the region. Further, officials highlighted the new stand-alone Registered Nursing program in Melbourne, and the growing demand for Ozarka's aviation training.

Crawford's visit marked an important stop on his recent tour of the area.   The tour consisted of multiple stops highlighting innovation and other key advancements occurring in northcentral Arkansas.
