Ozarka College is proud to recognize National Surgical Technologists Week, September 20–26, 2026, celebrating the important role surgical technologists play in providing safe, high-quality patient care.

This year's National Surgical Technologists Week theme, "Guardians of the OR," highlights the skill, precision and dedication surgical technologists bring to the operating room. Working alongside surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals, surgical technologists help safeguard patients, support surgical teams and contribute to successful procedures and positive patient outcomes.

Ozarka College joins healthcare organizations across the country in recognizing surgical technologists while also celebrating the College's Surgical Technology students, graduates and faculty who are preparing for or serving in this essential healthcare profession.

National Surgical Technologists Week also provides an opportunity to raise awareness about careers in surgical technology and encourage those interested in healthcare to explore educational opportunities available at Ozarka College.

Students in Ozarka College's Surgical Technology program receive training designed to prepare them to become valuable members of the surgical team and enter a career where attention to detail, teamwork and patient safety are essential.
