Agriculture

Philosophy   The Ozarka College Associate of Science Degree in Agriculture provides graduates of the program the ability to transfer into the Arkansas State University-Jonesboro Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program at the junior level, as either an Ag Education, Ag Business, or Animal production major.  The AS in Ag provides students with foundational agriculture classes as well as providing a firm grounding in general education coursework required for baccalaureate level studies in a wide variety of disciplines.   Outcomes  Students completing this degree program successfully will be able to:  

  1. Transfer to Arkansas State University Agriculture program and successfully complete the baccalaureate degree in Animal Production, Agriculture Education, or Agriculture Business.  
  2. Use the skills and abilities learned in and congruent with the philosophy of general education so that graduates may become lifelong learners.
