Philosophy
The Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA) follows the curriculum and meets the requirements as set by the Office of Long Term Care in the state of Arkansas. Upon successful completion, the student receives a Certificate of Completion and is prepared to sit for state certification as a Nursing Assistant in Arkansas. Students must pass the state certification exam to become certified.
Certified Nursing Assistants are hired by all types of facilities to provide top-quality nursing care. CNA's work under the supervision of Licensed practical Nurses and Registered Nurses. The program teaches the student the importance of the CNA as a member of the healthcare team and that the patient is the primary focus of the healthcare team's efforts.
