Skilled Trades

Program Philosophy

The Skilled Trades program prepares students with practical, hands-on skills that are in high demand across today’s workforce. This certificate program is designed to provide a broad foundation in multiple trade areas, combining technical knowledge with real-world application.

Students gain exposure to essential construction systems and develop skills that employers value, making this program an excellent entry point into the skilled trades industry.


Program Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Skilled Trades Certificate, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a basic working knowledge of general construction

  • Demonstrate a basic working knowledge of HVAC systems

  • Demonstrate a basic working knowledge of plumbing

  • Demonstrate a basic working knowledge of electrical systems

  • Qualify for entry-level employment in a variety of skilled trade occupations
