Welding Technology

 Overview

The Welding Technology Certificate prepares students for careers in welding by providing hands-on experience with a variety of welding equipment and techniques. Students learn industry-standard processes—including SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and TIG—and gain the skills needed for entry-level positions in construction, maintenance, or manufacturing on both plate and pipe.   Both credit and non-credit classes are available in Ash Flat, Melbourne and Mountain View.

What You’ll Learn

  • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions using multiple processes.

  • Understand and apply the fundamentals of welding and cutting.

  • Follow industry safety standards and best practices.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.

  • Apply basic metallurgy principles to welding tasks.

  • Produce high-quality welds on structural components and pipe.

Career Pathways
Graduates are prepared for entry-level welding roles in construction, maintenance, and manufacturing settings.
