Ozarka College hires Criminal Justice Instructor, Program Coordinator

Published on August 12, 2014

Ozarka College is pleased to announce the hiring of Nicholas Wilcox, who will serve as the full-time criminal justice instructor and program coordinator. He has substantial work experience in law enforcement. Most recently, he served Fletcher Technical Community College in Louisiana as a full-time instructor in criminal justice.

Wilcox holds master's and bachelor's degrees in criminal justice and an associate's degree in the administration of justice. He is also halfway through a doctoral program in criminal justice and believes that learning is truly a lifelong process.

"I am extremely excited to join the Ozarka family, and work to make the outstanding criminal justice program even better," said Nicholas Wilcox, Ozarka College Criminal Justice Instructor and Program Coordinator. "I have almost a decade of law enforcement experience, including several specialty assignments. I retired as a police officer after a line of duty injury and transitioned into service through teaching. I am passionate about our justice system and helping my students learn everything they can about it. "

Wilcox, originally from California, later moved to Virginia and most recently to teach in Louisiana. He is married to Amanda, a career operating room nurse, and they have three beautiful girls: Emily, Addison, and Abigail. In his free time, Wilcox enjoys spending time outdoors and coaching his daughters' sports teams.
