The Ozarka College Board of Trustees voted to extend the in-state tuition rate to Howell County, Mo. at its quarterly meeting Thursday, Dec. 19.
Howell County is contiguous to Arkansas counties served by Ozarka College and also a border county to Oregon County, which currently receives the in-state rate of $79 per credit hour. By extending the rate, Ozarka College will be able to better serve students in the region who would like to attend the Fulton County location in Mammoth Spring, Ark.
The Mammoth Spring campus, located at 5th and Archer Street, was opened in fall 2010 and offers day and evening courses, as well as online and hybrid courses. The first 11-month practical nursing class will begin this spring at the campus.
The spring semester is scheduled to begin Monday, Jan. 13 at Ozarka College. Late registration will be available Tuesday, Jan. 7 - Friday, Jan. 10.
