Early Childhood Development courses put students on track for certification in one semester

Published on January 16, 2014

Ozarka College is currently enrolling students in its one-semester early childhood development program. Classes are being offered this spring entirely online.

Registration for this program has been extended through Monday, Jan. 27.

Students can complete the certificate of proficiency in one semester or the technical certificate in two semesters. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.

After completing the first semester, students will be eligible to take the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential test necessary for working or operating a childcare facility.

The technical certificate is also a bridge to the Associate of Arts in Teaching degree offered at Ozarka College.

Anyone interested in attending classes may contact Typhanie Franke, ECD Program Coordinator, at 870-368-2043 or by email at tfranke@ozarka.edu.
