Career Coach
Ozarka College in Melbourne, Arkansas seeks qualified applicants for a part-time, 20 hours per week, Career Coach to serve in the Viola School District. This is a grant-funded position reporting to the College Registrar, and provided in partnership between the Arkansas Department of Career Education and the Viola School District, with funding approved through June 30, 2018. Job Summary: While the services of the Ozarka College Career Coach will be available to any Arkansan, Career Coaches will specifically target those students who are most in need of career planning. One of the specific targets will be students from low-income backgrounds (TANF or TANF eligible families). The Career Coach will identify these students through their middle/high schools and encourage them to aspire to postsecondary education, workforce training and/or apprenticeships as the means to a career that will afford economic self-sufficiency.
